KAE offers internships to rising KLA high school seniors and college students pursuing education in art, art history, art administration, marketing, event planning and other disciplines.  

Gallery Internships
Fall Semester/Spring Semester
Hours determined by need of intern and KAE

KAE’s gallery intern program will work with the gallery assistant and the executive director with various tasks. Tasks include greeting the public during gallery hours, assisting with art installations/de-installations, event preparations and documenting gallery exhibitions. In addition, the gallery intern will help market and plan programs for artists. Some translation when needed.

Qualifications:
Studio art, art applications or art history major. Basic computer skills, ability to organize information, some word processing and graphic design skills preferred. Working knowledge of the English language.

Application, English proficiency exam, and interview required to be considered.

Social Media & Marketing Internships
Fall Semester/Spring Semester
Hours determined by need of intern and KAE

KAE’s social media and marketing intern will manage KAE’s social media accounts, coordinate KAE’s blog and update KAE’s website. In addition, the intern will attend KAE’s events and programs to post social media content as well as gather information for the web and blog. Intern is responsible for scheduled blog post (either as an author or an editor for guest bloggers/artists). Translation between English and Albanian.

Qualifications:
Art applications, art history, communications, public relations, English or marketing. Some experience with marketing or public relations preferred. Basic computer skills, ability to organize information, word processing and graphic design skills needed. Working knowledge of the English language. Writes well.

Volunteer

Volunteers are not required to be member artists and can be individuals interested in the arts. Volunteers will have opportunities to work in various aspects of the operations of the KAE under the supervision of the Executive Director. Basic English skills needed.
